YES, it's Christmas! Time to enjoy, wait for Santa and get loads of gifts. It's also the time to show your near and dear ones that you care. I wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays :)!

Urbandux is a mixture between the most rabid rock, poisoned in metal, and the beauty of jazz and pop band. Born in Spain and living in Gothenburg, Sweden, since 2005. At the moment they are working on their new upcoming album given to Stefan Glaumann (Rammstein, Within Temptation) who gets thrilled and mix the songs up. It´s featured by Zoltan Corsz on drums (Flower Kings, Karmakanic) and special guest Mattias Ia Eklund from Freak Kitchen. Now I got the pleasure to announce also my little participation in the story, I will be the one working on artwork and photography, it will be absolutely a great honor.

After nearly three months of living in Madrid, I have been invited to form part of a collective exhibition in a very centered and new place called "4D Copa y Café". It's next to "Plaza de Jacinto Benavente" taking the metro "Sol" or "Tirso de Molina". Opening will take place next Tuesday, December 18th, at 9pm.

Hello everyone out there! It's nearly two weeks ago since I am living in Madrid now. After a really hard week searching for a new home I finally found a little studio, little but nice and new, 5-10 minutes away from Gran Via/Sol taking a metro. My new home is still a bit empty but I think it really gonna look awsome with some furnitures I am planning to buy as soon as I can. The best of it is the view I got one step out of my door, I can see the palace, the opera and a big amazing park, it really makes me feel a moment of peace in this big city full of stress.

I just made an account on BigCartel and uploaded all photographies I got for sale right now. Take a look if you want at this LINK. You will also find a new series over there called "Hidden Under".
Thank you all!

Next week, to be exactly Wednesday 5th September 2007, I gonna move to Madrid and live there for minimum a year. I enrolled in a MA Fashion, Portrait and Advertising course at TAI. Course will start 15th October, hope it will be great :)! Will be back with news as soon as possible.

My name is Jaqueline Vanek and I was born on August 27th, 1984 in Villach (Kärnten), Austria. After High School I start studying Modelling & Casting, a two year long course applicated to Sculpture at an Art College on the Canary Islands, Spain. I was always interested in photography, making portraits and getting crazy with Photoshop, this was the reason I finally get into Artistic Photography in 2005, studying a two year long course full of passion and imagination. Ending summer 2007 I moved to Madrid, where I enrolled in a MA Fashion, Portrait and Advertising course at TAI (Escuela Superior de Artes y Espectáculos).
Lots of my personal work are based on daily emotions and sensations. Inspired by thoughts, images, music, notions or concepts formed by my mind. I love the experimentation of mixing the unexplainable, the sensual, the dramatic, the gripping and the scary. Disturbance, surprises, outrage and disgust by dark, atmospherical and conceptual images. Photography is the perfect way to free my mind, be more creative and express myself in a new way, a way of making them timeless in form of photography.
